1000 3000 Series Aluminum Disc Aluminum Circle Used For Kitchen Ware



Aluminum discs (1050/3003 for general use, 5052 for durability) are widely used in cookware

due to their lightweight, thermal efficiency, and formability. Combined with stamping, spinning,

or deep drawing and anodizing/coating, they offer a balance of performance and cost-effectiveness

for both household and commercial applications.



Common Aluminum Alloys & Applications


1)  Pure Aluminum (1xxx Series)


Grades: 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100

Tempers: O (Annealed), H12/H14 (Half-Hard)

 

Advantages:

 

Excellent thermal conductivity (~220 W/m·K), ideal for even heating.

High formability, suitable for deep drawing/spinning (e.g., pots, steamers).

Requires surface treatment (anodizing/coating) for corrosion resistance.

 

Typical Use: Traditional woks, stockpots, steamers.

 

2)  3003 Aluminum Alloy


Tempers: H24 (Semi-Hard), O (Annealed)

 

Advantages:

 

Higher strength than pure Al (Mn-added), resists deformation.

Better corrosion resistance, suitable for water-based cooking.

Retains good formability for stamping/spinning.

 

Typical Use: Saucepans, frying pans, lunch boxes.



3)  5052 Aluminum Alloy


Tempers: H32 (Stabilized), O (Annealed)

 

Advantages:

 

High strength (Mg-added), durable for heavy-duty cookware.

Superior corrosion resistance, ideal for salty/acidic foods.

Works well with spinning/deep drawing.
